Yes, we accept cars, however you will need to ensure you can provide proof of ownership. Ensure the car is free from fuel, oil, gas bottle, personal items and rubbish. Cars will need to be brought into one of our larger depots e.g. Munno Para.
Please refer to the current price list. Please note that prices do fluctuate with the market, so depending on when you are bringing your product into the depot, the price that you are quoted today may not be the price that you receive when you go into the depot.
It is also not always possible to give you an accurate price over the phone without inspecting the product you have, as there are contributing factors that can make a difference to the payout price and what your product is paid out as. We do recommend bringing your product into the depot for inspection.
Our staff are trained to assess scrap at the depot and use a variety of methods to test ferrous and non-ferrous items.
- Aluminium – Magnet test (a magnet will not stick to aluminium but will stick to steel. If the magnet sticks, then it’s bought as steel.
- Coated items, e.g brass – they can make a small cut into the item to determine if it’s coated or solid.
